Some unidentified security operatives, Wednesday, January 4, invaded one of the homes of the Ex-First Lady, Patience Jonathan and carted away some valuables.
In the video footage, the security operatives are seen driving away in two white Hilux vans and a white bus after the raid at the Abuja house.
The reason for the raid is not fully available as at press time but speculations indicate it could not be unconnected with alleged embezzlement of public funds while the former First Lady was in office.
Former president Goodluck Jonathan himself after his tenure was criticised by some civil rights groups that he aided corruption under his watch as the nation’s leader.

When he was asked the reason for the decision, he said that he married both wives because he loves them both to the same degree. Mr Dahiru also added that some marital issues he had with his ex-wife further prompted his decision.
Speaking to Daily Nigerian on Sunday, Mr. Dahiru said:
“I have been dating one of the wives, Rashida, since before I divorced my first wife. My life ambition was to marry only two wives. But after the divorce, I met Khadija at my workplace and I fell in love with her.
“There is good understanding among us. They call themselves sisters, eat together in the same plate. They are just sisters.
“I love them both with equal degree. They showed me deep love and care too. They possess everything I need in a woman. So I couldn’t resist marrying them both at a time.”
When he was asked if he would take another pair in future, Mr. Dahiru simply replied that nobody knows tomorrow.

Some suspected kidnappers on Sunday, January 1st, 2016 abducted Alhaji Isah Achuja, a monarch who is Ohi of Ajaokuta in Kogi state.

The family member who craved anonymity said that the Ohi’s vehicle was intercepted on Lokoja-Ajaokuta road by the gunmen who forcefully abducted him at gunpoint.
He said that an aide to the traditional ruler and his driver narrowly escaped being hit by the assailant’s bullets during the incident.

A 58-year-old man, Timothy Onyeukwu, a tricycle rider in Abia State, has been arrested by policemen from Central Police Station, Aba in Abia State Police Command, for turning a 10-year-old girl into another tricycle that he could ride unchallenged, as he was caught during an alleged attempt to have sex with the girl in a hotel in the commercial city.
Crime Reports however learnt that it was not the first attempt by the suspect, as he had slept with the girl before his arrest. His method, it was further learnt, was to entice the girl with money and food.
Speaking with Crime Reports on the arrest of the elderly suspect, the state Commissioner of Police, Leye Oyebade, said police from Central Police Station were alerted by members of the public who saw when the suspect was taking the girl inside a room in a hotel.
“From the information gathered, the suspect, Onyeukwu, was having unlawful carnal knowledge of one female of about 10 years old in a hotel. This made the operatives of the Central Police Station, Aba, swing into action, and he was arrested while the girl has been taken to hospital for medical attention.”
A reliable source who spoke with Crime Reports disclosed that the girl used to go to the park where Onyeukwu operated his tricycle to sell sachet water. “He started giving her gifts like N20, N50 to eat. That was how he got her attracted to him.”
In an interview with Crime Reports on what led to his arrest, Onyeukwu, said: “There was a girl who used to sell sachet water. I had sex with her and I was arrested. But I was not the first man in her life because I had easy penetration into her and she also told me that she had a male friend.
“We had sex once in November within a school premises close to her residence. I stood behind her and asked her to bend. I penetrated her from behind. After we finished, I gave her N200. The second time, I decided to take her to a brothel for ‘short time’. I paid N500 for the room for an hour.
“I took the girl there in my tricycle. But some women who saw her following me to the room started beating her, saying that she was too young for what she was doing.”
The suspect disclosed that though he was once married, he had separated from his wife, while the only child she had for him was dead.
He added that though he knew the girl was not up to 18 years of age, he believed she was older than 10.
He added that the girl was just developing breasts but actually tempted him by throwing herself at him.
He narrated how he met the victim: “I was repairing my tricycle when she came and sat in it. She asked me to buy her food as she was hungry. She also asked for ice cream and I bought them for her. She came back again and asked me to give her money to carry a bag of sachet water to sell.
“As she was talking with me, she saw another man and said that he should wait for her so that they would walk together. I told her she was too small and would not know anything about a man, but she quickly replied that my statement was not true. She said she was not a novice in the area I spoke about and she had been doing ‘it’ for some time.
“That was how it started and I can only say that it was temptation. Since my wife left two years ago, I have not slept with any woman.
Oyebade said that the suspect would be arraigned in court after the conclusion of investigations.

Russia’s foreign ministry denied reports it was retaliating against new US sanctions leveled against the Kremlin by closing an Anglo-American school in Moscow.
On Thursday, CNN reported that in the wake of the US’ expulsion of 35 Russian diplomats, Russia ordered the closing of the Anglo-American School of Moscow, Thursday, December 29, citing an unnamed US official with knowledge of the action.
The school serves the children of Western embassy personnel from Canada, Britain, and the US.
Russia’s foreign ministry on Friday denied it moved to close the school.
Russia also ordered the closing of a US embassy vacation house, located about 16 kilometers west of Moscow, CNN reported.
A spokeswoman for Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, hinted at the response Russia would take in an earlier statement, saying US actions against Russian diplomats in the US would receive a similar response that she said would “immediately backfire at US diplomats in Russia.”
“The outgoing US administration has not given up on its hope of dealing one last blow to relations with Russia, which it has already destroyed,” her statement said.
The Kremlin earlier said the US would “receive an answer” if it took new punitive actions against Russia. The Obama administration indicated previously that it would hold Russia accountable for cyberattacks that US intelligence agencies have said were designed to interfere with the US election.
On Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin said he would not expel US diplomats in retaliation for the expulsion of Russian diplomats from the US.
A joint memorial service and side-by-side burial are being planned for mother-and-daughter Hollywood stars Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher, who died a day apart earlier this week in Los Angeles, the family said on Friday.
Todd Fisher, son of Reynolds and younger brother to Carrie, said that he caught a glimpse of hummingbirds at a cemetery site at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills.
This, he noted convinced him it was the ideal spot for their final resting place.
“That’s the way it was meant to be,” Todd Fisher, 58, told Reuters, recalling that his mother, the Oscar-nominated singer and actress, had a special fondness for hummingbirds, which were regular visitors to the grounds of her Beverly Hills home.
Fisher said he and other relatives were gathering this weekend to firm up funeral arrangements, including dates.
He said the family was planning two private events – a joint memorial celebration and a burial of his mother and sister next to one another at Forest Lawn – to be followed by some form of public commemoration of the two women.
Reynolds, who sang and danced her way into the hearts of moviegoers in such Hollywood musicals as “Singin’ in the Rain,” suffered a stroke and died on Wednesday at the age of 84.
