SHORT men really do miss out on sex, according to a study. Researchers looking at how people’s height and weight affected the number of sexual partners they had had found short men had the least. However, they were surprised to note that tall men did not always have the best sex lives.
The study of 60,058 heterosexual men and women aged 30 to 44 found that their average number of sexual partners was eight.
Researchers said there was little difference in the number of partners across the height range with one exception—very short men. While men of other heights had a median of seven sexual partners, those between 5ft 2in and 5ft 4in had only five, the team from Chapman University, California, found.
Regarding weight, normal and overweight men reported the most sexual partners, while underweight men had the least. Underweight women also had notably fewer partners, said the journal Evolutionary Psychology.
How will someone who knows life is about ups and downs believe he or she wants to have it good all the time?
The above question goes especially to ladies who throw away the opportunity that comes to them just because of wrong pieces of advice from those they call their best friends.
A good number of ladies are fun of taking to wrong counsel from friends who also want the same thing they want. What does this mean? It is basically about thinking of settling down with a lady’s dream man that the unsuspecting ladies fall prey to their predator friends. The predator friends come from nowhere to snatch their man and at the end of the day marry the man in question.
The three main mistakes are given below
1. Lack of contentment
There is a popular line in a nursery school rhyme which goes thus, “I am content with what I have, little be it or more,… ”
The above rhyme is instructive for ladies who are not satisfied with the responsible men in their lives. They want the perfect guy whereby they themselves lack so many qualities. At the end of the day, their situation becomes, “grab all, lose all. ”
2. Putting the fried meat in care of the hungry cat
The meaning of this is when a lady tells her so called best friend everything about her man.
These types of ladies make themselves vulnerable. The friends they seek advice from is a hungry cat who needs a man badly in her life too. Since the desperate friend also wants to settle down, she plays a fast one by snatching the guy.
It is not a sensible thing for ladies to divulge vital things about their man to their friends in order to prevent themselves from falling into the trap of men snatchers.
3. Lack of defined focus
A lady who lacks where she wants to move to might continue to beat around the bush. Every lady should have a set of goals for herself and plan about how to go about them. This is also based on plans for a happy marriage life and the future.
Nigerian Army of ‘Operation Lafiya Dole’ in the north east on Friday, December 30 night made a heavy breakthrough when it arrested a Caretaker Chairman of Mafa Local Government Area of Borno state, Alhaji Shettima Lawan Maina for hiding a top Boko Haram Commander (name withheld) in his house at 1000 housing estate along Maiduguri- Damaturu- Kano road. Sources have said.
The incident according to sources living at the same estate with the Chairman did not come to them as a surprise following the capture of Sambisa Forest, a stronghold of insurgents by troops that led to so many of the terrorists escaped to various places for safety.
Mafa Local Government is east and about 40 kilometres drive from Maiduguri the state capital which had witnessed series of deadly attacks by insurgents, before it was liberated by the military early last year.
A resident and neighbours of the LG boss said, the military and some security operatives stormed the house after getting an intelligence report that the top Boko Haram commander had sneaked into the house for safety.
Already the source said, both the top Boko Haram Commander and the Chairman have been detained in a military facility to enable thorough investigation as to how a wanted terrorist will sneak into the house of the Chairman, knowing fully well, that politicians of such caliber do not usually allow access to their house of abode.
When contacted for confirmation, the Police Public Relations Officer, Victor Isuku’s phone lines were not reachable, but a top security officer who is not authorized to talk to the press confirmed the incident, stating that “The arrest and capture of the Caretaker Chairman and the wanted boko haram commander took place on Friday night following a tip off.”
In his prophecies for 2016 which can be found here. Pastor Adeboye prophesied that a new STD (sexually transmitted disease) will surface in 2016.
I challenged him to name the new STD and the reader is welcome to read my full response here.
If Adeboye was referring to the Zika virus then it is evidently clear that he relies on news media to formulate his prophecies, in which case why call him a prophet? This is because medical researchers had announced towards the end of 2015 (well before Adeboye’s prophecy in January 2016) that the Zika virus can be transmitted through sex. And to be clear, the Zika virus was identified in Uganda in 1947. It is not new.
I know there is still one day left till the end of 2016 but where is the new STD that Pastorpreneur Adeboye said God told him will be discovered in 2016?
Adeboye had also prophesied concerning Nigeria that “things will definitely get better before the year ends.” I cannot speak for all persons living in Nigeria but I am not sure Nigerians have had it worse than this year – the prices of food and commodities have increased two to three folds whilst salaries have remained static. The only people who can afford to keep smiling in these austere times are those who make a living out of lying and selling false hope to the downtrodden. If hell were real it should be populated with such people.
Will Nigerians allow themselves to continue to be lied to, preyed upon and exploited by self-styled prophets of God in 2017? How much longer before they realise that the God they think speaks to their pastors only exists in their imaginations? Why is belief a virtue and common sense is not?

*Principal suspect, Pastor Mike Ola Bakare who administered liquid concoction after collecting N130,000 from victim on the run
*Pastor Bakare sent my wife, a member of his church to buy snake head and tail—Landlord
Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command attached to Ajangbadi Police Division have arrested two suspects, a 37 year old Pastor and 37 year old female Pastor over the death of a 27 year old Chinedu Chukwudi who was said to have gone to Jesus Solution Ministry at Santana Bus Stop, Ajangbadi area of the State for deliverance where she met her untimely death.
A security source who spoke exclusively to Vanguard on condition of anonymity said: “On the 13th of November, 2016, Confidence Chukwudi, the elder sister to the deceased reported to the police that on the 12th of November, 2016, her younger sister, Chiwendu Chukwudi aged 27 years went to Jesus Solution Ministry for deliverance where the Pastor, now at large allegedly collected the sum of N130,000.00 from her, after which he administered a liquid substance on her and she started vomiting.
According to the source, the pastor allegedly “kept her in the church premises throughout the day until she became unconscious before she was taken to hospital in Okokomaiko where she was confirmed dead.”
The source further revealed to Saturday Vanguard that, when security operatives stormed the scene of the incident, the unidentified liquid substance and some charms, were recovered in the church during the search before taking her corpse to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, Ikeja for autopsy.
How I met Pastor Bakare – Landlord
When Vanguard visited the church in an uncompleted building, it was discovered that all the doors and windows were sealed up with planks by the landlord, Mr Charles Gomah who said he was a Clearing and Forwarding Agent and an indigene of Plateau State.
Contacted for comment, Gomah said: “One day, a man came to me and said his name is Prophet Mike Ola Bakare and that, he would like to use my warehouse for a five-day crusade and I said okay, even if he doesn’t have money since he was speaking Hausa let him use it.
“You know those of us from the Northern part of Nigeria living in the South here, when you hear somebody speaking your language you just take him or her as a family member. I later learnt he is from Ilesa but he claimed he was from Kaduna State and was speaking Hausa. I then told him that, I couldn’t charge him for the warehouse, so he started using the place. After the five days crusade, when I came back from work one day, I saw different structures and electrical wiring and I confronted him that it was no longer a five day issue. He then said that he had issues where he was staying before in Ibafo and wanted to stay at the warehouse for a while. When I told him that this place you are staying is a family house, it does not even belong to me directly, so you have to pay money and he said okay he would pay. Then he paid me N120, 000, 00 for one year. “After he did the crusade, he was no longer frequent in the house and when I asked one of his members if the pastor had got another house, I was told that he was staying in a hotel.

At least 15 Boko Haram fighters were killed in Borno on Friday, December 30 as Nigerian troops of Operation Lafiya Dole and Boko Haram terrorists engaged in prolonged fierce battle in Borno State.
Military insiders told PREMIUM TIMES the battle ensued at 6 a.m this morning and did not end until after 9 a.m.
Our sources said the battle began when fighters of the terror group launched a surprise attack on troops location in Rann, in northern Borno, shooting sporadically.
Troops from 3 Battalion and 112 Task Force Battalion are stationed in the area, our sources said.
The soldiers responded promptly, killing an unknown number of the terrorists, and wounding several others.
The battle raged for over two hours, and when the dust settled, several terrorists were found dead.
One of our sources said more than 15 of the Boko Haram fighters were killed in action.
Another said the figure was much higher, saying many other terrorists escaped from the scene with gunshot wounds.
Both sources however said four Nigerian soldiers were wounded in action, adding that authorities had since contacted the nearby 22 Brigade to send air ambulance to evacuate a critically injured soldier.
Our sources gave arms and ammunition recovered from the terrorists to include two AK47 rifles, four FN rifles, one M21 rifle, 110 X 7.62MM NATO ammunition, 20 X 7.62MM special,, 40 X M21 rounds, 4 X FN extra magazine and two locally made explosives.
Friday’s battle is the first since the military overpowered and chased the Boko Haram sect from the dreaded Sambisa Forest, a fortress from where the group launched attacks on Nigeria for years.
It also came a day after the leader of the terror sect, Abubakar Shekau, appeared in a new video, claiming his group had not been defeated.
The Army immediately shot back, saying the video by Mr. Shekau was a piece of propaganda that should be disregarded.
One of the leaders of a notorious militant group operating in Ikorodu and Arepo areas of Lagos and Ogun states, Abiodun Amos, said yesterday, Wednesday, December 28, that his group planned to bomb the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos because the Federal Government failed to consider its members for amnesty.
The group had planned to bomb the bridge end of last month before Amos’ arrest by the Inspector-General of Police Special Intelligence Response Team, led by Abba Kyari, an Assistant Commissioner of Police, frustrated its efforts.
“We went into bank robberies and kidnapping because we wanted to get government’s attention and all we wanted was for them to grant us amnesty and also offer us pipeline protection contract.
We have made several appeals but government is not listening to us. Abiodun Amos (left), arrested over plans to blow up Third Mainland Bridge, in Lagos. ‘’General” Ossy (leader of the gang) said if we don’t blow up the Third Mainland Bridge, government will not listen to us. We had concluded plans to carry out the attack by November ending. ‘’I am the group’s explosives expert and before I was arrested we were going into the creeks to conclude plans on how to carry out the attack.”
The suspect, also popularly known as Senti, said his group was hitherto involved in pipeline vandalism, noting that it resorted to kidnapping when it became difficult for its members to continue with the illegal business due to the presence of the military and policemen.
The suspect is a 43-year-old native of Arogbo, in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State. He was arrested by operatives of the Inspector General of Police Special Intelligence Response Team, IRT, at a river bank in Majidun area of Ikorodu, Lagos, on Monday. Two AK-47 rifles hidden inside a bag were found with the 43-year-old suspect as Vanguard reliably gathered that additional two cartons of explosives, with the words Gelatine Dynamite inscribed on them, and detonators, were recovered from the group’s operational saloon car.
Amos’ arrest, it was gathered, followed intelligence generated by office of the National Security Adviser to the President, NSA, on November 2, 2016, that the group had concluded plans to blow up the Third Mainland Bridge.
Vanguard gathered that the information was passed on to the Inspector-General of Police, Mr Ibrahim Idris, who subsequently directed his IRT to commence investigation into the matter. During investigation by the team, it was revealed that the militants had acquired a large quantity of dynamite and several other explosives with which to carry out the dastardly act. Recall that the group in October 2016 carried out secret illegal operations like pipeline vandalism, kidnapping and bank robberies and had demanded for amnesty, threatening to disrupt economic activities within Lagos and Ogun states if the Federal Government didn’t grant their request.
Suspected leader of the militant group, General Ossy (real names not known), had in recent times, allegedly coordinated many bank robberies and several high-profile kidnappings, including the kidnap of three school girls at Babington Macaulay Junior Seminary School in Ikorodu; kidnap of four landlords at Isheri North Area of Lagos; abduction of Oniba of Ibaland, Oba Goriola Oseni, among several others within Lagos and Ogun state s. ‘General’ Ossy had boasted in an interview with Vanguard that his group has over 21 ‘generals’ commanding 7,800 battle-ready boys, adding that the group is rich enough to fight the Federal Government, having acquired thousands of arms and ammunition similar to that of the military. He said the arms would be deployed to disrupt economic activities within Lagos and Ogun states, should the Federal Government fail to dialogue with the group and grant its wish.
Confirming the development, Force Public Relations Officer, Don Awunah, a deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP, said: “Yes, an individual was arrested. On sighting the policemen, the second suspect jumped out of his car and escaped into the bush, abandoning the operational vehicle. ‘’On searching the vehicle, two cartons of Gelatine dynamite explosives and hundreds of detonators were recovered in the boot of the car. Efforts to arrest the remaining gang members are in progress.”
It’s pure insanity — Afenifere Reacting to the development, Pan-Yoruba socio-political organization, Afenifere, described the move as insane. Its National Publicity Secretary, Yinka Odumakin, said:It is insane for anybody to hatch such a plan.
